Hispanic Wellness Coalition The mission of the Hispanic Wellness Coalition (HWC) is to provide opportunities for access to health care and information through the Hispanic Wellness Fair and other programs. These activities are designed to increase awareness of all forms of healthcare and healthy living opportunities available and to build relationships with health practitioners and wellness providers.
Hispanic Wellness Fair The Hispanic Wellness Fair (HWF) is held in Fort Worth and targets the Hispanic community but is open to everyone in need of healthcare services and education. Each year the Fair provides a wide range of medical screenings as well as social services and other relevant health information. Educational materials are also provided on a variety of health topics. The Fair grows larger every year with 8,000 to 10,000 attendees annually and more expected this year. (read more)
Healthy Choices Make For A Healthy Lifestyle! ¡Opciones Saludables Para Tener Una Vida Saludable! Unique to the HWF is the promotora community program, which identifies high-risk participants at the HWF and provides guidance in assessing community resources for healthcare. The goal for 2013 is to promote a Healthy Lifestyle! A committee has been formed and they will be working with community organizations and/or companies to provide demonstrations, resources, tools, information, etc. to promote wellness! So please join us a we celebrate our Quinceañera and come learn how to have a healthy lifestyle!
